Happy B-Day, Pete! I barely made it!!!!!!! I'm a horrible friend. This makes up for it:
This was in a 1909 Salt Lake Herald newspaper. Read the "Apollo beats High Five" deal (if you can). Go pete! Way to time travel and then be good at old-timey basketball!
We were explaining to lucie what kind of doctor I am and I said "Lucie, I'm a urologist." And she replied, "a My-ologist?"
Yesterday in the car Lucie wanted to watch a movie. "Carbow." Melissa and I both looked at each other, "What?" "Carbeow!" I tried "caribou?" "NO!" Carebears?" "NO!!! Care-a-bow!" She started to cry because he stupid parents couldn't understand what she wanted. We finally decided to let her go inside and find the movie. She went in and brought out "The Incredibles." Duh.
Melissa has let Lucie have free reign over a little digital camera lately. I pretty much gave it up for landfill fodder but she has actually turned into quite the little photographer. The following shots were all taken by her in the last couple of days. Granted, I didn't include about 90 doubles, but I think their are some really cool shots in here. It's a little Plastic-bag-a-la-american-beauty, but I like it. (Notice the music, Sarah!)
Thanks to everyone for all of my b-day presents! More pics to follow and likely a mass of posts as I am on vacation for the next 10 days (glory be!)
P.S. According to Lucie, I apparently spend 90% of my time lying on the couch watching t.v. and eating Mcdonalds. Fortunately the other 10% is spent taking the kids on super-exciting bike rides.
Every 1-2 years I am required, by my own personal laws and regulations, to watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (as well as Amelie and It's a Wonderful Life). Tonight I was way overdue for some ESotSM. It's funny how it can have the same effects on me every time. I've got that whole joie de vivre and carpe diem thing going on now. Not to mention a certain veni, vidi, vici and of course, eine kleine nocht musick.
